Run No 120 is from Newton St Boswells on Thursday 7th April

Hi Everybody

Borders Hash House Harriers reaches an exciting (and frankly improbable!) milestone on our next run – our 10thbirthday. Yee-hah!!!

We’re having a slightly special run as a result, and would be great to see loads of people there. Please extend the invite to other H3’s, friends, ex-hashers, and new-hashers.

The run will be on Thursday 7th April, starting at 7pm from Tweed Horizons, near Newton St. Boswells (just off the A68) – map here: https://www.yell.com/biz/tweed-horizons-centre-melrose-6657870/#view=map

Hares are Alistair (aka ‘Hash Drunk’) and Julie (aka ‘Pick Me Up’). As usual, the ‘run’ is very mixed ability – everything from walkie-talkie to run-like-an-idiot, and should all be over and done with for everyone inside an hour.

On Inn afterwards is at my slightly less than salubrious warehouse/office on the Charlesfield Industrial Estate, near St. Boswells. We’re have a BBQ, beers, and perhaps some other stuff (might set up my roller racing kit!).

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Cheers

Run No 119 is from Hawick on Thursday 3rd March

It will start at 7pm from the Haugh car park (the big one, next to the A7) in Hawick. The hare in Anne, and the On-In afterwards will be The Bourtree (the Wetherspoons pub) in Hawick.

As usual, everyone welcome – it’s an easy, social run/walk, followed by food and beers after.

Hope to see you there.

Cheers

Run No 117 is from Melrose/Bowden on Thursday 7th Jan

Below are the details of the next Borders Area Hash House Harriers Run (BAH3).

Hi Everybody

For the next run of BAH3, we’re going to have another crack at the Eildons trail I laid in December – was a bit too wild that night!. The starting point, at 7pm,  is the small fishing loch on the B6359 between Melrose and Bowden village – it’s on the West shoulder of the Eildon Hills. From Melrose Square, take the B6359 (it goes under the Melrose by-pass) heading up hill. Keep going past the golf club. The loch is on the left around 1.75 miles after you leave Melrose Square. Park on the side of the road. Bring a torch!.

On Inn: TBC, but Melrose somewhere.

Hare:Paul

The Borders Area Hash House Harriers are an informal running club (though some people are more inclined to meander more gently and exercise their chatting muscles as well – fine by us). We’re open to everyone – come and give it a go. We follow a trail laid in dots of flour by a ‘hare’ – there’s no fixed route, and the ‘hare’ has various tricks up their sleeve to keep the pack together, no matter how quick/slow they run. We aim to be out for 45-60 mins. After we’re done, it’s time for food and a couple of beers at the ‘On Inn’.

Cheers
